Luxury lighting brand Atelier001 has expanded its Cosmic Collection with the launch of the Solstice table and floor lamps.
Each piece is handcrafted in London in collaboration with unique artisans and aims to celebrate artisanship and traditional craft techniques. Cosmic Solstice is available as a table lamp (H47cm) and floor lamp (H150cm) in a selection of finishes including Ore, Noir and Aurum. Bespoke finishes are available upon request.
Inspired by terrestrial and extra-terrestrial textures of planet-like forms, the Cosmic collection is achieved through hand-spun, concentric brass shapes and metal patinas. These surface patinas are the metal workers’ canvas of painting – an alchemical process of oxidation, heat application, acid and pigments that create an almost accidental interaction between the material and elemental factors. The handmade processes give each piece an individual touch, resulting in a striking series of lights.
